WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT THE GLUTEN-FREE GUIDE TO FRANCE

"Like the others in the series, for anyone holidaying in France... to know ... a really comprehensive listing of restaurants, hotels and health food stores across France (from quite basic to very classy)"                                                                    --www.FoodsMatter.com

"Maria Roglieri writes books that make you feel like you are getting savvy advice from a trusted friend. I hadn't  been to France since I was diagnosed with celiac, in large part because I was worried about eating there (and  having to pass up croissants, and pastries, and baguettes, and you know how it is). But I took The  Gluten-Free Guide to France with me on a recent trip and it helped me to feel confident that I could eat there  safely. Not only did Maria reassure me France had restaurants, cafes, B&B's, hotels and health food stores that are  aware of gluten-intolerance, but her guide was filled with detailed explanations of how to ask for a GF meal,  long, translated lists of food items as they appears on French menus, and wonderful places to eat that happily  welcome those of us on a gluten-free diet. Salut Maria!"                                   -Analise Roberts, GF cookbook author

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Help for GF Travelers to Paris, June 23, 2013
By Anna (Bowie, MD, United States) - See all my reviews
Before going to Paris, I contacted the author and so was able to give her updates on the places she mentioned. She was both helpful with the book and it's supplemental insert as well as her personal willingness to respond to email. What a wonderful person! I highly recommend this book and the website she has to help with the card you hand to your server at a restaurant so they are absolutely clear that no gluten can be in the food... the card (or page in the book) explains what gluten is so that the server won't make a mistake. A couple of servers brought the page back to the chef so that we didn't have any problems. This was a life saver for me and my mother in France. I don't have gluten intolerance but my mother has Celiac and it's really horrible when she gets sick. We did really well and she stayed well as well. Thanks so much for this guide and the author!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great GF travelling companion I hope!, March 10, 2013
By Trish Macek - See all my reviews
I am yet to put this book to the test as I am not travelling to Paris until July however given my limited french and some restauranters limited knowledge of gluten free food I am sure this book will be a god send. I have had a good look through the book and it looks as though my dining aprehensions may be unfounded.
