Maria Ann Roglieri, PhD
is a professor of Global Literatures, Cultures, and Languages  at St. Thomas Aquinas College in New York. She is author of Dante and Music: Musical Adaptations of Dante's Commedia (Ashgate Press, 2001) and numerous articles on Dante. She holds a B.A. in Italian literature from Columbia University, and an M.A. and a Ph.D. in Italian literature from Harvard University. She has won awards for excellence in teaching and for her writing at Harvard University and St. Thomas Aquinas College.

Maria has 18 years of experience in researching, writing, lecturing and counseling in the gluten-free community. She is a member of the Gluten Intolerance Group of North America, and the Westchester Celiac Sprue Support Group. She has given lectures on gluten-free living at Phelps Memorial Hospital and the Kraft Center.

She has written on gluten-free travel for yahoo.com, celiacchicks.com, Zondermeer Magazine, glutenfreeglobetrotter.com, and the WCSSG newsletter.

Her books have been featured in The Washington Post, USA Today,

Sara Diana Friedman
is the author of The Gluten-Free Guide to Washington, D.C.

She studied psychology at Harvard University (AB '19) and earned a Masters in Global Public Health through New York University (MA '20), studying public health in Washington, D.C., Buenos Aires, and Madrid. She is currently a med student at Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook. In addition to her book, Sara has co-authored several articles on public health in professional journals.

Sara has appeared on NY-Metro1 television, WVOX radio, lectured at Phelps Memorial Hospital and the Kraft Center, and written for celiacchicks.com, and Zondermeer Magazine in the Netherlands.

Her work for the celiac community was featured in The Washington Post, The Journal News, Gluten-Free Living Magazine, and The Hudson Independent.

All proceeds from the sale of Sara's book go to the Celiac Disease Research Center at the Mass General Hospital for Children. Sara was also an intern at the Celiac Disease Research Center.

                                                      Sara and Maria have been gluten-free (due to celiac disease) for 18 years.
